Competition Rules
How Beacon competitions are run.
Version 1.0 • Pre-launch Draft
In Summary
These rules explain valid entries, knowledge questions, draw processes, winner verification and prize fulfilment.
1. How Competitions Work
Beacon competitions are skill-based prize competitions. Each competition page explains the prize, ticket price, maximum entries, draw date and any relevant cash alternative rules.
2. Valid Entries
A valid entry requires an eligible member, accurate account details, successful checkout where applicable, and a correctly answered knowledge question.
3. Knowledge Question
Only correctly answered knowledge questions qualify for entry into the draw. Beacon does not confirm whether an answer is correct before checkout is completed.
4. Free Postal Entries
Where a free postal entry route is available, postal entries must meet the published requirements and be received before the competition closing date.
5. Draw Process
Winners are selected from all valid entries using automated randomisation software. Draw results will be recorded and published where appropriate.
6. Winner Contact
Winners are contacted using the details held on their Beacon account. Members are responsible for keeping contact and delivery details accurate.
7. Prize Fulfilment
Prizes are ordered or arranged after the winner is verified. Delivery times may vary depending on supplier availability and logistics.
8. Fair Use
Beacon may disqualify entries connected to fraud, abuse, duplicate accounts, automated entries or attempts to manipulate the draw process.
