Beacon Membership & Competition Terms and Conditions

Version 1.0 • Pre-launch Draft

In Summary

These Terms explain who can enter, how competitions work, how winners are chosen, your responsibilities as a Beacon member and how Beacon operates.

1. Definitions

Beacon, we, our and us refers to Beacon Prizes [Insert Registered UK Company Details]. Member means any individual who registers a user account on the Beacon platform. Competition means any skill-based prize competition operated through the Beacon website. Entry means a valid competition entry accepted under these Terms. Subscription means a paid recurring membership plan.

2. Welcome & Governing Law

Beacon provides premium prize competitions that are transparent, fair and enjoyable. These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Beacon. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

3. Eligibility & Age Verification

You must be 18 years or older to create an account or enter. Competitions are restricted to UK residents. Entries from underage or non-UK individuals may be declared void.

4. Knowledge Question

Every paid entry requires completion of a skill-based knowledge question. Only correctly answered knowledge questions qualify for entry into the prize draw. Incorrect answers do not receive tickets or entry slots.

5. Payments & Refunds

All verified ticket purchases and subscription payments are final and non-refundable, subject always to applicable UK consumer protection law. Duplicate system charges will be reviewed and refunded where appropriate.

6. Membership Tiers

Beacon may offer Free, Plus Monthly and Plus Annual membership tiers. Plus tiers may include early access windows and discounted member rates. Membership does not increase the odds of winning.

7. Winners & Prize Fulfilment

Draws use automated randomisation software. Winners are contacted using their registered account details. Prizes are supplied as described on the competition page, subject to supplier availability and any stated cash alternative rules.

8. Charity Commitment

Beacon intends to allocate 10% of gross entry revenue from completed competitions to registered UK children's charities. Charity reporting and cumulative giving data will be updated transparently on the platform.

9. Changes to Terms

Beacon may update these Terms from time to time. Where Terms are updated, members may be required to accept the latest version before completing a new purchase.
